Nigerian Defence Academy is headed by the Commandant, who is responsible for the NDA Council chaired by the Minister of Defence. The Defense is taking in applicants yearly through her official NDA Portal from the Nigerian Defence Academy School; perhaps this is why the school gets many aspirants yearly.

1. Faculty of Engineering

The Faculty is made up of four (4) departments as follows:

• Department of Civil Engineering (CE)
• Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)
• Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME)
• Department of Mechatronic Engineering (MCE)

2. Faculty of Sciences

The Faculty is made up of five (5) departments as follows:

• Biotechnology
• Biological Science
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Chemistry

3. Faculty of Arts and Social Science

The Faculty is made up of seven (7) departments as follows:

• Defense and Security Studies
• Geography
• History and War Studies
• Languages
• Political Science
• Psychology

4. Faculty of Military Science

The Faculty is made up of five (5) departments as follows:

• Cyber Security
• Intelligence and Security Studies

5. Faculty of Management Science

Furthermore, candidates who are admitted into the NDA 75RC will undergo military and academic training and become Officer Cadets for five (5) five-year academic calendar years for the Nigeria Army and four (4) years for the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force consecutively. On successful completion, students will graduate with a degree of honour in their relevant disciplines.

Who is Eligible to apply for the NDA Application Form 2026

Only students who pass the cut-off mark will be eligible to apply for the 2026 Nigerian Defence School. According to the Institution, 180 is the cut-off mark pegged for the faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Military Science, and interdisciplinary Studies, and 210 for the Faculty of Engineering.

Requirements for the 2026 NDA Registration Form

Aspirants who wish to apply for the 78 Regular Course admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy must meet the following requirements to be allowed into the institution:

• Candidates must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.
• Must be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
• Present a Certificate of Indigeneship from the state government or local government area.
• Be at least 17 years old and NOT more than 21 years old as of September in the year of entry into the Academy.
• Must have a minimum of 5 ordinary level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, and NABTEB), English language, Mathematics, and three other subjects that are relevant to the intended program at not more than two sittings.
• Must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation examinations (UTME) and attained an acceptable minimum national standard (as determined by the JAMB annual policy meeting) in English language, Mathematics, and any other 2 subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as set out by the JAMB Brochure.
• Must NOT be less than 1.68 meters tall for males and 1.65 meters for females.
• French, Arabic, and Mandarin languages are an added advantage.

• Application forms submitted without ordinary-level results will NOT be accepted.
• Candidates awaiting results are not qualified.
• Only ordinary-level examination results NOT more than 5 years old from the date of examination will be accepted.
• Admission into the Academy is for both male and female Nigerians only.

Procedure to apply on the NDA Portal 2026

Candidates should first purchase their access code and fill in their NDA Application Form details to pay for their application fee via REMITA. After first obtaining your ORDER ID. Please note that only payments made against RRR Codes generated via this portal will be accepted.

After purchasing the Access Code, log back to the NDA Portal official website and click on the registration tab to create your account and begin your registration.
